MTL’s design team, based on site at the MTL production facility, constitutes nearly 10% of MTL’s work force. MTL’s technically and aesthetically capable designers focus upon customized product developments for discriminating customers.  MTL’s weaving heritage dates back to the Leclercq-Leroux’s founding in 1847 and carries on enthusiastically to the present day. MTL’s office in Hem, France (outside Lille in Northern France) houses over 80,000 textile archives dating back over 150 years and are available for MTL’s customers’ product development use.

MTL employs the latest CAD technology and together with an international and diverse team of designers, MTL offers a plethora of high quality constructions ranging from coarse to very fine.

Whether a plain or a complex jacquard design, MTL’s range of sophisticated qualities include but are not limited to sheers, tapestries, brocades, sateens, taffetas, cut & loop pile fabrics as well as various high performance constructions.

MTL’s wide and leading edge color palettes further match the upper market constructions and are featured in premium natural fibers such as silk, linen, mercerized cotton, Bemberg, and wool. As performance is critical along with beauty, especially for contract applications, MTL also offers performance oriented synthetic yarns, including a variety of recycled yarns.

MTL’s ability to offer short run custom warps as well as specially match colors in an amazing breadth of yarn types and fibers, makes MTL truly special.
